01 Day: Rome
After breakfast, departure at 08.30am from hotel Mercure Roma Colosseo Centro in Rome 4* or similar for a visit in Rome, the eternal city with its incredible monuments, famous throughout the world. You will discover the center of Rome, its ancient part, you will have the opportunity to admire the Colosseum inside and relive the gestures of the Gladiators. Your visit is not over yet, not far away, you can admire the Arch of Constantine from the 4th century AD and going up the Via Sacra, towards the entrance to the Forum, you can surprise yourselves with the very elegant Arch of Titus of the first century AD. Continue inside the Roman Forum where the visit continues inside the largest archaeological area in the world. Together with the Imperial Forums, you can continue to discover, in the heart of Rome, the greatness of its monuments through the countless remains still visible. Now enjoy the rest of the day to explore the city at your leisure! Overnight in Hotel.
02 Day: Rome – Montepulciano
After breakfast, departure at 08.30am from your Mercure Roma Colosseo 4* hotel or similar to reach Montepulciano, a medieval village in the Tuscan hills, surrounded by vineyards, famous for its "Nobile" red wine. Its many wineries form a real underground city! Once in hotel, after check-in procedures, you will visit by walking the ancient village and the sanctuary of the Madonna di San Biagio, reaching one of the two entrance gates to the village, where Piazza Grande begins with the Duomo, the Palazzo Comunale and the Palazzo Nobili Tarugi. This 2-hour visit will allow you to know one of the most picturesque villages of the Tuscan countryside. At the end of the visit, you will continue to a historic winery for lunch and tasting of the "Nobile" wine of Montepulciano! Return and overnight in hotel.
03 Day: Montepulciano – Siena – San Gimignano
After breakfast, departure at 09:00am from your hotel Palazzo Carletti 4 * or similar, making the first stop in Siena
Here you will discover the origins and the most significant places of the city, which in the Middle Ages was one of the most important economic and cultural centers of Italy. You will visit the historic center, a UNESCO heritage site, a real open-air museum, and then the Cathedral of Siena, the Cathedral of the Assumption where you will admire the works of Michelangelo, Donatello and Bernini. A walk of about 2 hours that will end in the center. At the end of the visit, you will continue to a historic winery for a 2-hour visit with lunch and wine tasting of the Tuscan territory! In the evening check-in in Hotel Casolare Le Terre Rosse 3* or similar and overnight.
04 Day: San Gimignano – Montecarlo (LU) - Florence
After breakfast, departure at 09:30am from your Hotel Casolare Le Terre Rosse 3* or similar to reach San Gimignano, an ancient village in the Tuscan countryside, famous for its medieval towers, rich in works of art. On foot you begin discovering Piazza della Cisterna alla Collegiata, an imposing building above the staircase and embellished inside with frescoes by Ghirlandaio, Benozzo Gozzoli and Taddeo di Bartolo. Passing through the Rocca di Montestaffoli, from where you can enjoy a splendid view of the Tuscan countryside, reaching with a pleasant walk the church of Sant'Agostino which houses splendid works by Benozzo Gozzoli. Meet again your driver and reach another winery in the Tuscan land, situated in Montecarlo (LU), here you will visit the winery with an organized tour of about 90 minutes at the end of which, a delicious lunch will be waiting for you with tasting of wines and oils from the cellar! Still some free time for purchases in the cellar and departure to reach Florence. Check in in hotel and free time in evening.
05 Day: Florence
The tour ends after breakfast! You can opt for an extension to Venice or Milan.
