Depart from Paris to visit London on your own terms for two days. You can explore the British capital with a city tour and a cruise on the Thames. Lodging in London is not included in the package.

You will head directly to the Gare du Nord train station at 7.30 AM, where you will be greeted by our hostess on the mezzanine on the top of the escalator leading to Eurostar. She will give you your train ticket and the documents you need to spend two extraordinary days in London. After an approximate two-hour train ride (including a time change ‒ turn your watch back an hour when you arrive), you will be greeted by our Golden Tours representative at the exit of the “Eurostar arrivals” area. He will give you your ticket for the Thames cruise and the two-day pass for the city tour bus. He will tell you everything you need to know to make the most of your two days of independent explorations. You will discover a bustling, active, modern and cosmopolitan city that can match your mood.

The two-day pass for an open-air bus lets you tour the London capital at your own pace. You can hop on and hop off as you see fit, at any time and at any stop. This gives you time to visit the monuments and museums that appeal to you. As you admire the views of London from the open-air bus, you can listen to the audio commentary broadcast through individual headsets in the language of your choice. You will learn about London's history and the iconic sites that make it one of the must-see cities of Europe.

Over these two days, you can marvel at the most famous British monuments:

Big Ben: the majestic clock at the British Parliament has become one of the city's most enduring symbols.
Buckingham Palace: the royal residence, parts of which can be visited in August and September. You can watch the changing of the guard in front of the Palace gates.
London Tower: a tall fort that was once used as a royal residence, armory and prison and is now home to the crown jewels.
Saint Paul's Cathedral: the second-tallest cathedral in the world after Saint Peter's in Rome.
Tower Bridge: this imposing, Victorian-style bridge adjacent to London Tower hosts several exhibits that recount its role in the history of London. Today it is a symbol of the city
Westminster Abbey: one of the oldest religious buildings, it is the site of royal coronations and home to the tombs of British kings and historic figures
During your stay in London, you can also check out its main neighborhoods and squares:

Picadilly Circus: a hyper-animated area that is fun to visit at night. Stroll along streets crowded with shops, theaters and restaurants under the bright lights and admire the Eros fountain.
Trafalgar Square: built in 1830 to commemorate the British Army's victory at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805, this is one of the most important spots in downtown London.
Covent Garden: this charming, vibrant London neighborhood is full of street artists and outdoor cafés where you can sample pastries and other homemade treats
You can also wander through the many parks that dot the city, such as:

Hyde Park: one of the city's oldest and largest gardens, Hyde Park is a place where anyone can relax. Many concerts and events are held here throughout the summer.
Regent's Park: if you take a walk through this pretty park, you can also stop in at the famous Madame Tussaud's Museum.
You can take your Thames cruise on the day of your choice. This charming ride on the water (without commentary) will give you a different view of London. You can start your Thames cruise at any of the stops on the circuit: Westminster, Waterloo, Tower Bridge or Greenwich.

During those two days in London, you will have the opportunity to enjoy two free guided walking tours. It is not necessary to book them, you can show up directly at the meeting point. You can also ask the representative who will welcome you at the Saint Pancras Station on the 1st day for any information about those tours.

- The Royal Walking Tour: You will be immersed in the universe of the Royal Family, and you will discover London’s hotspots linked with the Royal Family. You will get to see St James's Palace and Buckingham Palace, where you will see the guard mounting. Your guide will tell you funny anecdotes about the British Royal Family.
