Oronzo 29 meters high which supports the copper statue, modeled in Venice, representing St. Oronzo in the act of blessing the city.
There are many impressive buildings that crowd the ancient heart of Lecce, but there is one that is a National Monument, and is not a way of saying, that the Basilica of Santa Croce was seriously recognized as such in 1906.
