Upon arrival at Barcelona Airport, you will meet a Rent-a-Car representative who will assist you in collecting your rental car. Then, start your journey to Tarragona for the first night in beautiful Catalonia. Tarragona is one of the Roman capitals of Spain, once known as Tarraco. Today, the Roman ruins of the city have been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Overnight in the Tarragona area.
Accommodation: 4 star Salou Sol Costa Daurada, or similar 4 star hotel, on a B&B basis.

Day 2: TARRAGONA - POBLET - LERIDA (110 Km - 1,5 hours)
Breakfast at the hotel, before exploring Tarragona. Visit the ruins of the ancient city walls, dating back to the 3rd century, and other important Roman monuments such as the Forum, the circus and the amphitheater, located near the shores of the Mediterranean. The Cathedral-Basilica of Santa Maria is a magnificent fusion of Romanesque and Gothic styles. Admire the graceful elegance of the Plaça de la Font, seat of the town hall. Leave the city, heading towards Lerida. On the way, we recommend that you visit the Cistercian monastery of Santa Maria de Poblet, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The complex is surrounded by defensive walls and walking around them is like stepping back into the Middle Ages. The Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque architectural stylescan be admired throughout the monastery, which once served as a pantheon of the mighty kings of the Crown of Aragon. Overnight in Lerida.
Accommodation: 4 star Lerida Parador Lerida, or similar 4 star hotel, on a B&B basis.

Day 3: LERIDA - CARDONA - LLORET DE MAR (280 Km - 3.5 hours)
Start the day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel. Discover the historic district of Lerida, which preserves charming picturesque corners. Visit the monumental complex of the old cathedral and the king's castle, La Suda, which offers a splendid view of the city. Then leave Lerida behind and head towards Cardona, an idyllic valley in central Catalonia. The city is a picturesque site with an important medieval heritage. Visit its most important places, without missing the imposing fortified castle perched on a hill. Then, continue on to the paradisiacal area of the Costa Brava, where you will spend a pleasant evening in Lloret de Mar. Overnight in Lloret de Mar.
Accommodation: 4 star Olympic Garden, or similar 4 star hotel, on a B&B basis.

Day 4: LLORET DE MAR - PALAMOS - PALAFRUGEL - BEGUR - LLORET DE MAR (140 Km - 2 hours)
Treat yourself to a tasty breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a new adventure in Catalonia. On this day, we recommend that you explore some of the charming villages of the Costa Brava, passing by impressive cliffs, golden sandy beachesand typical Mediterranean landscapes. The first stop is Palamos, with its fascinating landscape. Stroll through the streets and enjoy the different viewpoints. Continue along the coast towards Palafrugell. The cork industry has influenced the evolution and current appearance of this village. The town retains the original urban layout and its white houses. The harbor is home to traditional boats in bright colors, which contrast with the white buildings and golden sand of the beach. Continue to the village of Begur, at the foot of an austere castle on the hill. The view from the top is breathtaking, and from there you can contemplate the intense blue of the Mediterranean. In the evening, return to the hotel in Lloret de Mar. Overnight in Lloret de Mar.
Accommodation: 4 star Olympic Garden, or similar 4 star hotel, on a B&B basis.

Day 5: LLORET DE MAR - BARCELONA (80 Km - 1.5 hours)
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before departing for the vibrant city of Barcelona. You could explore the historic Gothic Quarter of Barcelona. Take a stroll through the narrow, cobbled streets, which open onto picturesque squares filled with terraced cafes and secluded churches. Admire the Cathedral of Santa Eulalia and the churches of Santa Maria del Mare and Santa Maria del Pi, outstanding examples of Catalan Gothic architecture, and appreciate the medieval grandeur of the former royal palace of the Plaza del Rei. Visit Park Gü; ell, in the northwestern outskirts of the city, and discover Gaudí's visionary "garden city". Although the park has remained unfinished, what has been built is enough to be able to capture the artist's imagination, thanks to the richness of the mosaics made of pieces of broken and irregular tiles. Enjoy views of Barcelona and the Mediterranean before continuing on to the still unfinished basilica of the Sagrada Familia, a project that transcends the boundaries of the imagination and has become an iconic symbol of the city. The basilica has three fascinating facades, one of which, the surreal facade of the Nativity, was more or less completed before Gaudi's death. The roof of the nave was only recently completed. Overnight in Barcelona.
Accommodation: 4 star Evenia Rossello, or similar 4 star hotel, on a B&B basis.

Day 6: BARCELONA - SANT SADURNI D'ANOIA - MONTSERRAT - BARCELONA (190 Km - 3 hours)

This thriving city is the heart of the Alt Penedes region, where the Spanish cava is produced. Do not miss the opportunity to visit the bodegas and discover this world famous production of sparkling wines. Continue on to Montserrat, the holiest mountain in Catalonia and home of the Virgin of La Moreneta.Enjoy a spiritual and cultural journey while admiring the memorable view of the plateaus and their impressive rock formations. Montserrat has been a place of pilgrimage since the 9th century, when some shepherds discovered a statue of the Virgin Mary in a cave. Since that time, the statue has been revered and is believed to have turned black due to the smoke from candles lit over the centuries. Today Montserrat is the largest Benedictine monastery in Spain.
